Freedom 251 : World's cheapest smartphone launched

The world's cheapest smartphone has launched on 17 February, at a mind blasting price of USD 4 (300 INR); not mistaken, only four dollars, currently only in India. But don't underestimate its performance, it is moulded with a super series of specifications. The smartphone is manufactured by a new Indian company named Ringing Bell.



The smartphone features 4-inch display having resolution of 540x960px. The device sport 3.2MP rear camera and a front facing camera of 0.3MP. It is powered with 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor with 1GB of RAM. Also it has a storage capacity of 8GB internally, which is expandable up to 32GB via SD Card. 

Another noticeable feature of the device is its OS, it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and is also juiced with 1450 mAh removable battery. 

The device is designed by inspired from Apple iPhone. It has a circular home button on front bottom centre and the rear cameras are fitted on the top left corner of the device, as we seen in iPhones. The device is completely manufactured by the support of Central Government of India which is established as a part of the mission to ensure technology development among even lowest community in society. Its main aim is to giving freedom to evry technology as its name suggests : Freedom251.

 

'Ringing bells' is well known for making smartphones at affordable prices. Their first smartphone Smart 101 smartphone was a 4G Dual-SIM smarphone at an affordable price of 44 USD, which is equivalent to 3000 Indian Rupee.
