LG is working on the second SoC in their in-house Nuclun series, Nuclun 2, which is expected to release on the second half of the 2016. It means it will be on their smartphones after releasing of Flagship device G5, which points to the hint that Nuclun 2 will not be equipped with it.
Weibo leakster "Ice Universe" suggests that the Nuclun 2 chipset will not power G5 and will be come with next V10. It claims that it may not have the enough power to mould up a flagship. However, it will not be a flop like its predecessor. It will have a LTE support and packed with Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A72 cores.
Unlike before, Intel will not participate in this manufacturing, due to less production. It will be co-developed by TSMC using a 16nm process. But it is not sure about the performance of TSMC's than Intel. Don't write off its power, as it will not be used in G5. It will perform powerfully in V10 (and other devices) than its predecessor.
As it is in-house, LG can preset their devices with more properly working hardwares and OS/UI.
