At last, Google has realized that they could not be notable
in the tech world without manufacturing Hardware components. The some of the
results of the expression of this realization are Nexus Q - Sphere shaped media player, Pixel C Tablet,
etc.
Now they are slowly creeping into the microchip developing,
by co-operating with SoC manufacturers. According to The Information
report, Google has discussed with some microchip developers, as the first step.
It may be companies like Qualcomm, which uses own technology. But Google didn’t
respond to that.
The closely related news circles claimed that Google mainly
aimed to bring an opponent against Apple’s Ax chipset. By making their own
Chipset, Android devices could be powered with Processors, exactly made for
Android devices. It could bring powerful experience to Google’s Virtual Reality
headsets and Gadgets.
As the manufacturers of Android OS, Google can integrate
Software and Chipset too closely, if they would enter into Chipset world. Also they could launch Nexus Smartphones
without accepting helps from other chipset manufacturers. So that, we could
expect that Google’s own chipset would be firstly installed on Nexus devices.
