OneDrive is the cloud storage and file hosting facility by Microsoft especially for Windows users. The OneDrive was previously known as Skydrive and also useful to many. It let the users to sync files and access it across devices and platforms.

Microsoft has announced that it will get the unlimited storage option for Office 365 Home, Personal, or University subscribers. But the latest reports saying that  storage is now limited to 1TB.Also, 100GB and 200GB plans will no longer available to newly registering users, and will be replaced with a 50GB plan for $1.99 per month from next year.
Free OneDrive storage has been dropped from 15GB to just 5GB for all users. This will be activate from 2016.

For existing Office 365 subscribers, if your stored file is over 1TB, you have only 12 months to find another location or remove unwanted content before it is deleted. The policy will affect free users over 5GB data. but it will not affect users with plan 100GB and 200GB. If yu are an Office 365 subscriber, you will notify when the change is applied.

You are wondering now that why Microsoft withdrew the helpful facility suddenly without any notice. The reasoning by Microsoft is that some users are misusing the unlimited cloud storage facility for backing up the entire HD movies and some unusual files for their unwanted use by consuming about 75TB of space. Microsoft promised to their users only for storing the contents they want. Sounds raising against this policy are just like the microsoft only do one thing that to make limits for some particular types of files (like movie files).
